Underwater hockey is a fun way for children to become more comfortable in the water. The Gatineau-Ottawa underwater hockey club offers the Nemos program for children ages 6 - 11 years. This program introduces children to swimming techniques including: front crawl (with fins and without), flutter kick, dolphin kick, and marlin (le marsouin). Nemos will also introduce players to the underwater skills that are unique to underwater hockey including stick handling, curling, and team strategies. The Nemos program is progressive and leads into the club's Junior program for youths aged 12 - 17.
